A rare EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Edmontosaurus annectens hoof core (toe or pes ungual) from the late Cretaceous of North America. An August Fossil of the Month. Edmontosaurus is a very large hadrosaur or "duck-bill" dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. This is a toe hoof core from a massive Edmontosaurus. It is from the center toe - toe III. The largest one that I have seen! The Edmontosaurus was bipedal and had much larger feet relative to hands. Bone quality is excellent. No repair or restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Dawson Co. Montana. A rare collector's quality Edmontosaurus pes hoof core.  Authenticity guaranteed. A rare, Top Quality, EXTRA LARGE Anzu wyliei hand (manus) claw from the Hell Creek Fm. of SE Montana. Another June 2018 Fossil of the Month. Anzu is referred to as the "Chicken from Hell". An exceptional manus claw. Highest quality rich brown color and patina. This specimen has incredible perservation with exceptional surfaces - no pitting, nicks or wear - superb surface articulation! There is some professional restoration which is typical for a big Anzu wyliei manus claw. The tip has a small section repaired and the proximal edge has a small triangular area repaired which starts at the center of proximal surface (see photo). A High Quality Thescelosaurus neglectus pes ungual (foot claw) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Thescelosaurus is a mid-sized dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. This claw is excellent quality with excellent color / patina. One crack is stabilized and the very end of the "wings" (the flat ledge below the blood groove) were filled for aesthetics - about a 1/16". A very rare Top Quality, Allosaurus fragilis toe claw (pes claw). A May Fossil of the Month. This Allosaurus toe claw measures 2-15/16". High quality bone. Great rich dark brown color. Excellent overall condition. Normal crack fill with a section of the upper rim of the articulated end rebuilt. Allosaurus was the apex predator during the late Jurassic.
