Allosaurus fragilis
A very rare EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Allosaurus fragilis tooth from the Morrison Fm. A January Fossil of the Month. This Allosaurus crown measures 2" and is 1-1/4" wide. Tooth measures 3-1/4" with the partial root. This is a BIG Allosaurus tooth. The enamel is high quality. Great rich dark brown color. Exceptional anterior and posterior serrations. Minor natural crushing on the left bottom is stabilized. Excellent overall condition. No repair or restoration. Allosaurus was the apex predator during the late Jurassic with large teeth designed to slash predators. Legally collected on private land in the Morrison Fm., Bone Cadbin Quarry, Albany Co., Wyoming.
