A TOP QUALITY Megalonyx leptostomus sloth claw from an extinct genus of giant ground sloths and our December 2017 Fossil of the Month. This claw has excellent preservation and shows little water wear. It's complete down to a nice tip with absolutely no restoration or repair. Excellent preservation of the proximal end. An EXTRA LARGE Tyrannosaur tooth from the late Cretaceous (Campanian) in northern North America. Please note that this tooth could Gorgosaurus or Daspletosaurus - see Detailed Discussion below. This tooth measures 3-1/4" - a BIGTyrannosaur tooth. A maxillary tooth. The enamel is good with good color. Anterior and posterior serrations are weak. Two cracks. Root etching. No restoration.
