A very rare Physeteridae sp., a Sperm whale, tooth from Caldera area of Chile. This is a second much rarer late Miocene Sperm whale tooth found in the Bahia Inglesa Fm. This tooth is similar to the Sperm whale teeth found at the Sharktooth Hill site. I have only seen four teeth. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. Unfortunately there are no teeth coming from this site 19 years!

A LARGE Scaldicetus sp., a Sperm whale, tooth from Caldera area of Chile. An incredible late Miocene Sperm whale tooth from the Bahia Inglesa Fm. This tooth has great preservation and a fantastic brown color There a small amount of matrix on the rear. An EXTRA LARGE pyrite replaced Paraspirifer bownockeri brachiopod from the Silica Shale Fm., Sylvania, Ohio. Both valves present  - complete specimen and matrix free. More than 1-1/4"+ thick and heavy! This is a Devonian (395 mya) brachiopod. The big Silica Fm. brachiopod. A fantastic display specimen!
