A rare, Top Quality Triceratops horridus rooted tooth from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Another July 2018 Fossil of the Month. Triceratops is a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. The enamel is excellent quality with excellent color / patina. Extra large root which is quite rare. Incredible preservation of the crown and root that shows their intricate detail. The chewing surface measures 1-1/14” with a very high ridge. This is a recently erupted tooth that has slight tip wear. No cracks or restoration. A rare rooted, extra large Triceratops tooth! Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Carter Co., Montana. An excellent collector's quality Triceratops tooth. The my last July 2017 Fossil of the Month is a GEM 4-11/16" Megalodon - upper jaw ANTERIOR tooth. Fantastic colors - gray enamel and a jet black bourlette. Highest quality enamel - glass-like surface. The finest enamel preservation - very rare! An exceptional black bourlette - near complete. Razor sharp serrations including an exceptional tip serration. Serrations are just about perfect. The root is incredible - a medium brown, nicely articulated, and complete with very small hydration cracks on the display side. An exceptional collector's Megalodon tooth from Georgia. A near "PERFECT" Georgia Megalodon tooth. BEST of the BEST!

A transitional tooth leading to C. auriculatus (see detailed discussion below) which leads to Megalodon. A November Fossil of the Month.The bourlette is complete. Tooth exhibits "wavy serrated" edges similar to the Isurus escheri tooth. These teeth exhibit very good color, gloss, and preservation. Koneprusia dahmani is an unusual looking species with three rows of long spines run down its back. The preparation is German with all original colors and no restoration. An ultra rare, TOP QUALITY Spheniscus megaramphus , Penguin skull from the Bahia Iglesa Fm. of central Chile. A March Fossil of the Month. An excellent, large skull and beak.
