Alopias & Trigonotodus species  - Giant Thresher sharks

These teeth are from the giant Thresher sharks Alopias grandis, Giant Serrated Alopias sp., and the cusped Trigonotodus alteri. These Giant Alopias shark teeth are very rare and are of very quite difficult to locate. Found in the Colleton, Beaufort, or Dorchester Co., SC. Oligocene or early Miocene in age.

These are excellent teeth from Carcharhinus leucas, the Bull shark (Miocene).  Found in Summerville, SC.

These teeth are from Galeocerdo mayumbensis, an extinct Tiger shark (Miocene). The Galeocerdo mayumbensis teeth are very rare and are of  quite difficult to locate (rarely seen outside of Florida!). Found in Summerville, SC.
