Alopias & Trigonotodus species -
Giant Thresher sharks
These teeth are from the giant Thresher sharks Alopias grandis,
Giant Serrated Alopias sp., and the cusped Trigonotodus alteri. These Giant
Alopias shark teeth are very rare and are of very
quite difficult to locate. Found in the Colleton, Beaufort, or
Dorchester Co., SC. Oligocene or early Miocene in age.
