South Carolina - Carcharocles megalodon
(> 5")
This catalog contains exceptional teeth from the
most highly sought fossil shark tooth - the Extinct Giant White shark, Carcharocles
megalodon.
These teeth are noted for their
wide triangular crowns which are fully serrated. The largest examples of C.
megalodon teeth exceed 7 inches in length and are extremely rare. Body lengths most likely exceeded
40
foot. The undisputed king of the Miocene - Pliocene seas (4-20 million years
ago).
Please note that these C. megalodon teeth
have been carefully selected and are of the highest quality. These teeth will
have full roots, tips, well defined (sharp) serrations , enamel, and bourrelet with
all having little to no damage. We sell top quality Megalodon teeth at
reasonable prices. You will not find Megalodon teeth with
excessive "river polish" with details barely visible or teeth
with dings & dents or excessive peel in this catalog (there are plenty of
mediocre, specimen grade teeth sold on eBay!). All teeth listed are near
museum quality or
better. ** Absolutely NO restoration or repair in this group! **
THE BIG BOYS.
Note - all teeth sizes are slant height unless otherwise
noted. Display frames and easels are available - see Display Material catalog. Click on
