Pine Cones

These are rare examples of Jurassic "pine cones" and their fossil limbs from ancient Jurassic forest - 210 million years ago. These fossil pine cones and fossil limbs are from Araucaria and Paraaraucaria trees. They exhibit incredible preservation and exquisite detail. These fossil pine cones and limbs were found in the Cerro Cuadrado, Patagonia, Argentina. Note - these items are from an old German collection. Digging and exportation of these items are now strictly forbidden by Argentina. It is unfortunate since these are among the best preserved pine cones in the world. Their value is rising! I also added a few very rare, German Oligocene pine cones!
