This catalog contains exciting new material from the western ("Spanish") Sahara region of Morocco. This very remote area is producing small quantities of Miocene and a middle Eocene age shark teeth including Megalodon, Isurus hastalis, and Auriculatus teeth. I have heard stories of Moroccan Megs for years, but I have never seen one. Now you can own one of these rarities!

Note - all teeth sizes are slant height unless otherwise noted. Click on photos to enlarge. Catalog update March 29, 2010.

Carcharocles auriculatus (Extinct Giant White Shark)

This catalog contains excellent teeth from C. auriculatus, the first Giant White shark. C. auriculatus teeth are noted for their triangular crown and very large side cusps which are heavily serrated. These teeth are from the middle Eocene (Lutetian? - 42 million years ago). Exceptional quality Auriculatus teeth are now coming out of northern Morocco in very limited quantities. A very rare find in Morocco!

Carcharocles megalodon (Extinct Giant White Shark)

This catalog contains rare Megalodon teeth from the most highly sought fossil shark tooth - the Extinct Giant White shark, Carcharocles megalodon. These teeth are from the middle Miocene ( ~14 million years ago). A very rare find in Morocco. Few will ever have a Meg from this location! I have seen about 100 of these Meg teeth, and 95% are broken or repaired. There are essentially no top quality Megs coming out. The few that appear to be high quality are typically repaired and the prices are crazy high - buyer beware!
