Georgia - Carcharocles megalodon This catalog contains exceptional teeth from the most highly sought fossil shark tooth - the extinct Giant White shark, Carcharocles megalodon. These teeth are noted for their wide triangular crowns which are fully serrated. The largest examples of C. megalodon teeth exceed 7 inches in length and are extremely rare. Body lengths most likely exceeded 60 foot. The undisputed king of the Miocene and Pliocene seas (5-15 million years ago). Georgia Megs - The rivers of coastal Georgia also produce exceptional Megs. These new Georgia Megs are gorgeous and exhibit great colors - copper red, tan & olive crowns, black bourlettes, and red brown roots. Great color contrast and with exceptional preservation. These colors are rarely seen - adding to the value of these wonderful Megs. Fantastic collector's Megs. All teeth listed are near museum quality or better. Absolutely NO restoration or repair in this group! Note - These are some of the of the last Megs found by the late Vito Bertucci. Note - all teeth sizes are slant height unless otherwise noted.
