Georgia - Isurus hastalis  (Big-tooth Mako)

This catalog contains very nice and extra large teeth from the Big-tooth Mako shark, Isurus hastalis.  Isurus hastalis teeth are noted for their wide triangular crowns and rectangular, heavy roots. These teeth come from the Hawthorne Formation -  Miocene age (15 million years ago).

Please note that these Isurus hastalis teeth are noted for their unique red color and excellent preservation. This color is rarely seen  -  adding to the value of these large Makos. All teeth listed are near museum quality or better. Absolutely NO restoration or repair in this group!
