Santee Limestone Formation - The Santee Limestone Formation (Green Cap Formation) is well known for shark teeth that are well preserved and possess excellent color. The Santee Limestone Formation is exposed in several quarries in the Harleyville area of Dorchester County. These teeth are from the Eocene (38 million years ago). The exceptional quality shark teeth from this area are very scarce. One of my favorite locations for exceptional quality Eocene teeth! Our best selection ever! Abdounia beaugi & Abdounia enniskilleni This catalog contains exceptional teeth from Abdounia beaugei and Abdounia enniskilleni, Gray sharks. These Abdounia teeth are incredibly sized and wonderfully preserved. The Abdounia enniskilleni are the largest Abdounia teeth that I have seen! Difficult teeth to find! Alopias latidens & Alopias superciliosus This catalog contains beautiful teeth from Alopias latidens and Alopias superciliosus, early Thresher sharks. Difficult teeth to find! Anomotodon novus This catalog contains exceptional teeth from Anomotodon novus, a Goblin shark. The Santee LS Fm. Anomotodon teeth are large sized and excellent quality. Difficult teeth to find! Note - Left photo --> upper data & right photo = bottom data. Brachycarcharias lerichei This catalog contains of a unusual species - Brachycarcharias lerichei, a Sand Tiger shark. A very unusual and seldom scene species! Carcharhinus pricus This catalog contains very nice teeth from a Carcharhinus priscus, a Gray shark. Note - Left photo --> upper data & right photo = bottom data. Galeocerdo latiden This catalog contains very nice teeth from a scarce early Tiger shark, Galeocerdo latidens. Difficult teeth to find! Galeorhinus sp. This catalog contains very nice teeth from an early, scarce Tope shark, Galeorhinus sp. Very difficult teeth to find!
Hemipristis curvatus This catalog contains very nice teeth from an early, scarce Snaggle-toothed shark, Hemipristis curvatus. Very difficult teeth to find! Hexanchus agassizi - Extinct Cow Shark This catalog contains the very rare teeth from Hexanchus agassizi, the Six-Gill Cow shark.
